JHB Fleet/ Operations Assistant

Our Johannesburg branch based in Kempton Park is looking for an experienced JHB Fleet/Operations Assistant.

Job Requirement

  • Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 3 beneficial)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, such and shift handover plans and execution.
  • Vehicle and Fleet knowledge.
  • 3 to 5 years Fleet management experience required

Duties and Responsibilities Nationally

  • Vehicle inspections
  • Tyre management
  • Branding
  • Vehicle quality control and appearance
  • 3rd party liaison and management (Lancewell / ATS (Auto Tech Solutions / Tent & Tarp / Royal Truck Washing)
  •  Battery management
  • Breakdowns: Mechanical & Tyre
  • Vehicle tracking and monitoring
  • Fleet Spare Key management
  • Pallet jack control and repairs
  • Empty Pallet Management
  • Workshop control
  • Tool management
  • Vehicle and Trailers service schedules
  • Vehicle COF / Roadworthy / Licence expiry dates
  • Tail lifts management
  • Forklift management
  • Load testing
  • Rental fleet
  • PO obtaining and recon
  • Fuel Management
  • Forklift refuelling
  • Weekly and monthly management presentations.
  • In-House / Adhoc collection planning.
  • Facility management.
  • Utility control and 3rd party liaison
  • Risk investigation.
  • Health & Safety officer functionality.
  • Any work-related instruction from management.
